I think its about time that we pose this question to our readers…I know that there are many reasons leading up to why I chose this specific method of animation. Coming from a background of 3d animation, creative thinking, the cartoon network and of course Saturday morning cartoons. It has been my calling to create an animation on my own.

It started with a concept, and trust me I have come up with many. It fills my days, nights and dreams, creating my very own cartoon animation. After hours of watching countless cartoons online, on television and working in the industry, I finally decided what my concept would be.   As I mentioned above I come from a 3D animation background and I know very specific aspects of it very well, but others not so much. I also know that it can not be a one person show, I would need to recruit friends and colleagues in this industry to make it look good enough to actually publish…so it was decided.   “STOP MOTION” this would make the dream become a reality.

It was all very well planned on my part, I decided I needed help so off to a couple classes from some experts in the field, started a blog, started tweeting and watched endless tutorials. The latter that we are trying to share with our faithful followers. So with that being said, I am very pleased to announce that we are going to go through the trials and tribulations of my stop motion cartoon, and like so many others have decided to share my journey with you, so consider this the introduction to the inevitable…

Went out bought endless supplies and now it begins..stay tuned as we share the creation of the characters, the set, the story and finally the inaugural episode (Name to Be Determined).

As I started this post, I pose this question to you…Why did you choose stop motion?

I must say Bent Image Lab studio is one of my favorite studios everything they do has great quality. This commercial is no exception, must say favorite moment, when the little elf falls on the floor and wiggles his little leg, but the flying fairy is no exception. This short stop motion animation combined with digital animation gives you a short overview of ridiculous ideas people had to fight global warming. it is kind of ironic but also very dry.
